A friend of mine commissioned an artwork for a music project he's been working on. I wanted to create an image that felt nostalgic. The ocean seemed like a perfect choice of inspiration because water is such a fundamental part of us, and Port Vell's music, like the ocean, can be at times dark and melancholic, but it also has a playfulness and quirkiness that makes me think of a child in the shore building his first sand castle.
I'm glad I didn't have to pick one, I did so many variations and I like them all.
